UFC Match. Wait. What?

Well it was rough last year in the 2013 playoffs. Nothing has changed between these two teams despite spending 5 months not playing each other and both having different teams then what they had in May. There was plenty of rough stuff and bad blood when the Baie-Comeau Drakkar and Halifax Mooseheads played in a 5 game President's Cup series that saw Halifax take it 4 games to one. It continued tonight when only 2 minutes in Liam Alcalde and Poulin dropped the gloves. It was the first of FIVE fights during the 65 minute game that ended in a shootout. Not only were there more than the normal amount of fights but probably an unusual amount of hits and bodies falling.

The first period saw 3 fights and some really nice chances by the home team. The second period was the longest period in most likely a long time as there was a line brawl with just under eight minutes left. It saw both penalty boxes filled to beyond capacity with all 10 players going to the box for roughing calls. Another player for each team were added off the face-off when Matt Murphy and Jeremy Gregoire throwing punches. The last 25 minutes (3rd period and OT) were pretty quiet. Zach Fucale had to make some pretty good saves all game and it continued in overtime. Both goalies were really good which forced a 10 round shootout.
